Originally released in 1973, Lou Reed’s song is the fictional fantasy, opening overture of his rock opera "Berlin". Two lovers in great turmoil, traveling to a divided Berlin, and trying to salvage a relationship on the outs. The arrangement modernizes Reed’s work, with the end of the couple’s violent, passionate break up.
Both Jonas Schoen's high flying soprano sax solo and Jeanfrançois Prins' uniquely human and heart-wrenching distorted guitar deliver impactful solo statements that wrap up the story.
