Leere, bunte Zigarettenschachteln
und zerknülltes Butterbrotpapier
auf dem Schulweg, den wir täglich machten,
seh' ich, als ob's heute wär', vor mir;
und wir klauten auf dem Beet vorm Bahnhof
für die Mutter den Geburtstagsstrauß:

In dieser Stadt kenn' ich mich aus,

Zwischen zwei verdunkelten Laternen
